Founder & Guide

Leslie Cary, Ph.D.

Licensed Psychotherapist

Leslie is a trauma-informed healer and teacher who integrates psychology, neuroscience, and Christ-centered theology. Her work flows from decades of clinical practice and her own journey of healing.

She is passionate about restoring intimacy with God and wholeness in the soul. Her approach emphasizes safety, belovedness, and spiritual maturity—formation that happens from the inside out, rooted in who we already are in Christ.

The HeartFire Healing Journey emerged from Leslie's conviction that lasting transformation requires more than information—it requires formation in community, over time, with the consistent presence of a shepherding voice.

Our Heart

The convictions that shape everything we do.

Christ-Centered, New Covenant

Everything is rooted in the finished work of Christ and the reality of the New Covenant. We don't earn our way to God; we learn to live from acceptance, not for it.

Trauma-Informed Safety

Healing cannot happen in survival mode. We create environments where nervous systems can settle, where safety is felt, not just taught.

Attachment-Aware

Our relational patterns—with God and others—are formed early and often need repair. Secure attachment is both the goal and the means of transformation.

Formation Over Information

We resist the temptation to merely inform. Real change happens through embodied practice, community witness, and the slow work of the Spirit.

Beloved Identity

Before doing, there is being. Every teaching flows from who you already are in Christ—chosen, accepted, and deeply loved.

No Manipulation or Pressure

We refuse urgency tactics, shame-based motivation, or performance-driven spirituality. This is a pilgrimage, not a product.
